Snowflake Wishes with Woodland Background

Good morning fellow stampers and thank you for stopping by to check out my latest blog! Today's card features the Stampin' Up! Snowflake Wishes bundle along with the Woodland Embossing Folder. I've done a bit of playing around with the Snowflake Wishes bundle and love all the different looks they can create. I was really pleased with how this card turned out. Loving the gray and blue color combo with just the right amount of sparkle!

To  begin, I chose Basic Gray cardstock as my base. Next, I inked up the inside of the Woodland Embossing Folder (apply ink to the side with the logo) with Balmy Blue and embossed a piece of Whisper White cardstock and adhered this to the Basic Gray base. For the snowflake, I die cut a couple of snowflakes in Whisper White and stamped the snowflake images in Smoky Slate. I also die cut a snowflake in the Balmy Blue Glimmer Paper. The snowflakes pieces were then layered and adhered together and to the Woodland background. For the banner, I used Basic Gray and Smoky Slate cardstock. The sentiment was stamped in Basic Gray. Before adhering the banner, I applied some Stampin' Seal to the back and applied a piece of Snowflake Splendor ribbon. Lastly, I added a few of the Blue Adhesive Backed Gems to the banner and the center of the snowflake.

For the inside of the card, I applied a piece of Whisper White cardstock and stamped the cluster of snowflakes in Balmy Blue.

Forever Fern in the Fall

Hello again my fellow stampers and Happy Sunday. I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. The weather was absolutely beautiful here in Northern Colorado. I was able to get out and do a little hike today with my family. It looks like some of the bushes and aspen trees are starting to lighten up... which fits in perfectly for today's cards!

I decided to go with a fall look using the Forever Fern bundle from Stampin' Up! I love this stamp and die set! You can use it for virtually every season and occasion just by changing up the color palette. For both cards I used Mango Melody, Poppy Parade, Early Espresso and Mossy Meadow. The base of the first card is Very Vanilla cardstock. I adhered a piece of Early Espresso to that and then used another piece of Very Vanilla to stamp the images from the Forever Fern stamp set using Mango Melody, Poppy Parade and Mossy Meadow. The sentiment was stamped in Early Espresso on a piece cut using the Tasteful Labels die set. I added some of the gold trim behind the sentiment included in the Forever Greenery Trim Combo Pack by putting down some Stampin' Seal. I then used mini dimensionals to adhere the sentiment to a piece of Vellum. To adhere the piece of vellum to the card, I applied glue just to the area that the sentiment covers so the glue would not show through the vellum. Lastly, I added a few Metallic Pearls.

For the next card, I also used Very Vanilla cardstock as the base. To that, I adhered a piece of Poppy Parade. I used the Old World Paper Embossing Folder on the next layer of Early Espresso. The leaves were die cut and stamped using the Forever Fern bundle and the same Mango Melody, Poppy Parade and Mossy Meadow color palette as used above. The sentiment was also die cut using the Tasteful Labels die set and I added some Gold Glitter Enamel Dots to that as well.

I hope these cards bring you inspiration! Click on any of the images below to be taken to my online store where you can find these products and so much more! Feels Like Frost Card

It's been a minute since I was able to blog last. We have had a wildfire up close to where I live and had to evacuate for a couple of days. A chaotic, stressful week for sure. Hopefully, with the recent snowfall's help, the fire fighters will be able to gain some control over it. Do not want to have to leave my home again.

Today's card was made using Stampin' Up's Feel Like Frost Paper Designer Series Paper (DSP) in the August-December catalog. This paper is so pretty on it's own and it doesn't take much to have a beautifully created card.

For the base of the card, I used a piece of 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 Night of Navy card stock. The next layer is Petal Pink card stock. I chose the piece of DSP with the sun shining on the snow covered trees. Each piece is about 1 1/8 x 4 1/4. I then adhered a piece of Night of Navy behind each piece of DSP and adhered those to the Petal Pink card stock leaving room at the bottom for the sentiment. The sentiment came from the Snowflake Wishes stamp set (also in the August-December catalog) and was stamped in Night of Navy. For the final touch, I added a  few Champagne Rhinestones which matched the coloring perfectly!

If your looking for some quick and easy Christmas cards, this paper is a must!
