Can't Get Enough of Feels Like Frost!

Hello there stampers and welcome to my blog! Today's cards are made with Stampin' Up's! Feels Like Frost Designer Series Paper (DSP) found in the August-December mini catalog. I really can't get enough of this paper and am excited to create more cards. This paper is perfect for holiday cards and is so pretty on it's own that it doesn't need much else added to create a beautiful card.

For the top card, I used Gorgeous Grape cardstock as the base of the card (8 1/2 x 5 1/2). I then took a piece of Whisper White cardstock measuring 4 1/2 x 3 and stamped the sentiment and splatter image in Gorgeous Grape ink using the Forever Fern stamp set. This piece was then adhered to the card base. The center of the DSP was punched out using the Tasteful Labels dies and adhered to the top of the card. Lastly, I added a few Elegant Faceted Gems.

For the next card, I used Night of Navy cardstock as the base (8 1/2 x 5 1/2). To that I adhered a piece of the DSP measuring 5 1/4 wide by just over 2 3/4 tall and adhered that to the top. The bottom piece is the back side of the Feels Like Frost DSP and measures 5 1/4 x 1. The sentiment piece was punched out in Smoky Slate cardstock using the Tasteful Lables dies and stamped in Night of Navy using the Snowflake Wishes stamp set. I punched out a little piece at the top and inserted a piece of ribbon from the Boho Indigo Medley. I stuck a mini glue dot in between the ribbon pieces to keep them in that position and then adhered the sentiment piece to the card using Stampin' Dimensionals. Lastly, I adhered a few clear jewels.

I hope these cards inspire you and give you a couple other ideas to use with the Feels Like Frost DSP... or any DSP for that matter! You can find all of the ingredients used for these cards below aside from the clear jewels used on the blue card and the blue ribbon that is included in Stampin' Up's! Boho Indigo Medley (item #153132, pg. 9 of 20-21 annual catalog). Just click on any image to be taken to my online store. Peony Garden Paper Card

Good evening stampers! Long time, no blog. I was evacuated from my home for 12 days and separated from all of my stamp supplies. It was a long 12 days but we were finally able to return home on Wednesday. There is a large wildfire here in Colorado. It is still burning but has slowed some. Praying they will be able to fully contain it soon. It's been burning for 2 months now! So blessed to be home though and thankful that my home is still here.

Today's card is a layout I have been wanting to try. It's perfect for using up those scrap pieces of paper and is a great way to showcase that paper. I chose the Peony Garden Designer Series Paper for this one and will definitely be trying out some other DSPs with this layout as well.

The base of the card is a piece of 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 Whisper White cardstock scored at 4 1/4. To that piece, I adhered a piece of 5 1/4 x 4 piece of Basic Gray cardstock. For the three pieces of DSP, the measurements are 5 x 1 1/4, 2 3/4 x 2 1/2 and 2 1/4 x 2 1/2. These pieces are then adhered to the Basic Gray. The sentiment piece was cut out using the Tasteful Labels dies on Petal Pink cardstock and stamped in Basic Gray using an older Stampin' Up set sentiment. You can use a sentiment of your choice for this. For the ribbon I applied a strip of Stampin' Seal and applied the ribbon and then to the back of that, I added some Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere it to the card. I had some plain white ribbon on hand that I used for this. Stampin' Up's Shimmer Ribbon or Silver Metallic-Edge Ribbon would look good for this as well. Lastly, I applied a few Elegant Faceted Gems.

I really love the look of this layout and the ease of creating it is a bonus! You can find all of the ingredients used for this card below aside from the sentiment and the ribbon.
