Shimmery Seashells

I was so excited to learn and try out this tip on how to make your very own shimmery paper! It was super easy  and fun and now I want to make all my paper shimmery! :-) Of course I won't but I just love the look of this!

The base for both of these cards is Soft Suede cardstock. For the card on the left I used Petal Pink cardstock. I sporadically applied about 4 drops of Stampin' Up's! Frost White Shimmer Paint to the Petal Pink cardstock and then using a blender sponge (makeup sponges work also), I spread it evenly over one side of the cardstock. You want to spread it fairly quickly because it does dry pretty fast. You then have a beautiful piece of shimmery paper! I used the Seashells Embossing Folder out of the January-June 2021 Mini Catalog. So pretty! And I'm this look would work for just about any embossing folder if not all of them. 

For the card on the right I used Calypso Coral cardstock with the Frost White Shimmer Paint. The sentiments from both cards were stamped in Early Espresso and came from the A Touch of Ink stamp set in the January-February Sale-a-bration catalog which comes FREE with any $50 purchase. For the card on the left, I die cut the sentiment pieces with the Stitched So Sweetly dies in Crumb Cake and Very Vanilla, and added some shimmery ribbon, some twine and some Opal Rounds. For the card on the right, I used the Tasteful Labels dies in Very Vanilla and Bermuda Bay and added some shimmery ribbon as well. I adhered the sentiment pieces with dimensionals. I hope this inspires you to try out making your very own shimmery paper! You won't regret it!

A Touch of Ink

 I am so in love with the A Touch of Ink stamp set out of the January-February 2021 Sale-a-bration catalog! Just love how the images appear once they are stamped! This set is FREE when you purchase $50 worth of goodies out of the 20-21 Annual Catalog and/or the January-June 2021 Mini Catalog. Trust me, you will really want to add this set to your collection!

For this card, I went with Granny Apple Green cardstock as the base. To that I added a layer of Basic Black. The blue layer also comes free out of the Sale-a-bration catalog with a $50 purchase. It is the Oh So Ombre Designer Series Paper. Another must have! The images were cut out using the Tasteful Labels dies on Basic White cardstock. Images were stamped in Flirty Flamingo, Gorgeous Grape and Granny Apple Green. I adhered the die cut pieces to a black panel and adhered that to the middle of the card. I also added some Blackberry Bliss Striped Ribbon and Mattel Black Dots to the card both found in the January-June Mini Catalog.

Dragonfly Garden Bundle

Hello friends and welcome to today's blog! I am so excited about the new products in the January-June 2021 Mini Catalog AND the January-June Sale-A-Bration Brochure! I thought the day would never come! Below are a couple cards created using the Dragonfly Garden Bundle. Same layout, different color scheme. You seriously need this Dragonfly Punch though!

The dragonflies for both of these cards was white embossed on velum. I also white embossed the flowers from the Dragonfly Garden set on the Mossy Meadow cardstock. The Flower and Field Designer Series Paper (DSP) used on both cards came FREE from the Sale-A-Bration Brochure after spending $50! I added some Bumblebee cardstock behind the DSP on the green card and some Basic Black cardstock behind the DSP on the Petal Pink card. 

The flowers on the pink card were stamped in Cherry Cobbler. The sentiments were stamped in black and die cut using the Tasteful Labels dies with the added pop of color on the side (also die cut using Tasteful Labels). Bumblebee cardstock for the green card's sentiment and the Oh So Ombre DSP in the Sale-A-Bration brochure for the pink card. Lastly, I added some Black Matte Dots to the flowers on both cards.
