May Your Season Sparkle

Today's card was created using the Snowflake Wishes Bundle. I am so pleased with how this card turned out and love the non-traditional Christmas color palette.

The base of the card is Mint Macaron cardstock. On top of that, I adhered a piece of Balmy Blue Glimmer Paper. This is actually the same piece I used to die cut my snowflakes. You just can't see the cut out images because they are covered up with another piece of Mint Macaron that was embossed using the Winter Snow Embossing Folder. In addition to the Balmby Blue Glimmer Paper snowflakes, I also die cut out a few in Whisper White cardstock and stamped the snowflakes images using Petal Pink and Balmy Blue Stampin' Pads. It's really cool how you are able to create different snowflake looks by layering the different dies! Love this! The sentiment was stamped in Balmy Blue on a piece of Petal Pink cardstock that was cut out using the Tasteful Labels dies. And lastly, I added a few of the Blue Adhesive Backed Gems.

There are so many options to create with this bundle. I look forward to playing with this set more! Keep an eye out on my blog for more to come!

Emboss Resist with Forever Fern

Hello fellow stampers and Happy Friday! Hope everyone is staying well and not getting too smoked out with all these fires going on right now. We have one about 25 miles from our house here in Colorado so have been getting a lot of smoke mainly in the mornings. Pray for rain and relief soon for all affected!

I tried out the emboss resist technique on today's card. I have seen so many pretty cards done using this technique and had to give it a shot myself.

For this card, I used Whisper White cardstock as the base (8 1/2 x 5 1/2 scored at 4 1/4). My next layer is a piece of Pear Pizzazz cardstock. To distress the edges, I ran the edge of my bone folder along the edges of the cardstock. The next layer is a piece of Whisper White cardstock. I stamped the images with Versa Mark ink using the Forever Fern stamp set. I then embossed the images with white embossing powder. I sponged over the entire piece using Pear Pizzazz, Soft Sea Foam and Blushing Bride Stampin' Pads. The cool thing about resist embossing, is that after you've sponged over the cardstock and images, you can just wipe off any ink from the stamped images with a paper towel. The ink resists the embossed image. So neat! For the stamped sentiment. I used the Tasteful Labels dies on Crumb Cake cardstock. The sentiment is stamped in Blushing Bride and I also applied a few Elegant Faceted Gems to the front and some ribbon behind.

Feels Like Frost

Happy Sunday and thanks so much for stopping by my blog! Today's card is a simple one using the Feels Like Frost paper in the August-December mini catalog. This paper is so pretty in and of itself that it makes it very easy to create an elegant looking card. For this card I used a 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 Whisper White cardstock base. To that piece, I adhered a 5 3/4 x 4 piece of Black Berry Bliss cardstock. Then to that, I adhered a 5 x 3 3/4 piece of Feels like Frost Designer Series Paper (DSP). I also used the Black Berry Bliss to cut out my piece for the sentiment. I used the Tasteful Labels dies for that piece. The sentiment was included in the Snowflake Wishes stamp set that is also in the August-December mini catalog. This was embossed with Silver embossing powder. The die cut snowflake pieces are included in the So Many Snowflakes dies also in that mini catalog. I used the back side of a piece of the Feels like Frost DSP for those.

I just love how pretty the Feels Like Frost DSP is!

Dry Embossed Peony

Hello and welcome to my blog! For today's card, I played around with dry embossing the Peony flower from the Peony Dies set. I used the Petal Pink cardstock and embossed the die cut flower pieces with the Old World Paper embossing folder. I also did some sponging on the flower using Merry Merlot. The leaves and flower center were die cut using a Gold Foil sheet. The card base is Petal Pink with a piece of Bermuda Bay (distressed by sliding my bone folder along the edges) on top of that and then a piece of Merry Merlot with edges die cut using the Peony Dies set as well. I white embossed the sentiment from the Prized Peony stamp set on Basic Black and bunched up some ribbon behind that. The ribbon I used was included in the Boho Indigo Product Medley. I used a strip of Stampin' Seal and bunched up the ribbon on top of that. I also used Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment piece. Lastly, I added some Gold Glitter Enamel Dots.

All of the products used in today's card can be found below. Happy Stamping!
