Feels Like Frost Snowflakes

Hello friends and welcome to my blog! Today's card is featuring snowflakes die cut with the Feels Like Frost Designer Series Paper (DSP). The paper gives them that watercolor look without having to do all the work! Paired up against Night of Navy cardstock really makes those snowflakes pop. I hope you enjoy!

The base of the card is a 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 piece of Gorgeous Grape cardstock scored at 4 1/4. The next layer is a 5 1/4 x 4 piece of Night of Navy cardstock. I embossed this with the Winter Snow embossing folder. The snowflakes were die cut in various sizes of the So Many Snowflakes dies using pieces of the Feels Like Frost DSP that resembled watercolor along with the silver side of the DSP for the top layer of the snowflakes. I adhered the layers together using small amounts of the Multipurpose Liquid Glue. For the sentiment, I die cut the pieces using the Tasteful Labels dies in Whisper White cardstock for the smaller piece and the silver side of the Feels Like Frost DSP for the larger size. The sentiment came from the Snowflake Wishes stamp set and was stamped in Night of Navy ink. For the Snowflake Splendor ribbon, I inked it up on the Gorgeous Grape stamp pad and wiped off the excess with a tissue to give it the purple tinge. Lastly, I added a few Blue Adhesive-Backed Gems to the center of the snowflakes.

Silver and Gold Snowflake Wishes

Hello friends and welcome! For today's blog, I wanted to do something more with the Feels Like Frost Designer Series Paper (DSP). I decided to go with the reverse side of the DSP and chose a silver and gold color theme. This paper is so great no matter which side you use and is perfect for creating quick cards as the beautiful paper does all the work for you.

The base of the card is Whisper White cardstock measuring at 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 and scored at 4 1/4. The next layer is a piece of 5 1/4 x 4 Gold Foil Sheet. And then to that, I adhered a piece of the Feels Like Frost DSP measuring at a little over 3 1/4 x 5. The sentiment was stamped on Whisper White cardstock (3 1/4 x 3/4) using the VersaMark ink pad and then embossing with Gold Embossing Powder. The sentiment is from the Snowflake Wishes stamp set. I adhered the sentiment to a piece of 3 1/2 x 1 Gold Foil Sheet. This was then applied to the card using Stampin' Dimensionals. Lastly, I added the gold bow which came from the Forever Greenery Trim Combo Pack and attached it with a bit of Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Another simple yet elegant card using the Feels Like Frost DSP! You can find all of the ingredients used for this card below. Just click on any image to be taken to my online store. Snowflake Splendor

Hello there stampers and welcome to my blog. I hope everyone is having a good November thus far. It's hard to believe that the holidays are right around the corner. And how are those Christmas cards coming? It's okay if you haven't started yet. There is still time. I still have some left to make yet myself. Today's cards are a couple of variations using most of the products included in Stampin' Up's! Snowflake Splendor Suite. This suite includes the Snowflake Wishes Stamp Set, So Many Snowflakes Dies, Snowflake Splendor Designer Series Paper (DSP), Winter Snow Embossing Folder, Balmy Blue Glimmer Paper, Blue Adhesive Backed Gems and Snowflake Splendor Ribbon. All of these products give you so many options for creating those Christmas cards!

For the card on the left, I used Night of Navy cardstock as the base measured at 5 1/2 x 8 1/2. The DSP (4 x 5 1/4) was die cut in the center using one of the larger snowflake dies. Before adhering the DSP to the base, I adhered a 3 1/2 x 3 1/2 piece of Balmy Blue Glitter Paper to the center of the card where the large snowflake image will go so that the glitter paper shines through the snowflake image. Next, adhere the DSP. I then die cut a couple of the smaller snowflakes in Whisper White cardstock and the Balmy Blue Glitter Paper and adhered them together and then to the DSP. The sentiment was stamped in Night of Navy using the Snowflake Wishes Stamp Set on a piece of 1 x 3 1/2 Whisper White cardstock and then adhered to the card. Lastly, I added a few of the Blue Adhesive Backed Gems to the centers of the snowflakes.

For the card on the right, I used a 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 piece of Whisper White cardstock as the base. To that I adhered a piece of 5 1/2 x 4 piece of Night of Navy cardstock. The next layer is the Balmy Blue Glitter Paper measuring at 5 1/2 x 3 1/2 and then a piece of DSP measuring at 5 1/2 x 3 1/4. The sentiment is stamped in Night of Navy on a piece of Whisper White cardstock that was die cut using the Tasteful Lables dies. I also die cut a snowflake in Balmy Blue Glitter Paper, attached that to the sentiment and some Snowflake Splendor Ribbon as well. For the ribbon, I tied a bow, and then cut the two bow loops making them all stick out straight. Lastly, I added a couple Elegant Faceted Gems to the top left and bottom right corners of the card.

Pretty yet simple Christmas cards. You can find all of the ingredients used for these cards below aside from your choice of die cutting machine.
