Snowflake Splendor

Hello there stampers and welcome to my blog. I hope everyone is having a good November thus far. It's hard to believe that the holidays are right around the corner. And how are those Christmas cards coming? It's okay if you haven't started yet. There is still time. I still have some left to make yet myself. Today's cards are a couple of variations using most of the products included in Stampin' Up's! Snowflake Splendor Suite. This suite includes the Snowflake Wishes Stamp Set, So Many Snowflakes Dies, Snowflake Splendor Designer Series Paper (DSP), Winter Snow Embossing Folder, Balmy Blue Glimmer Paper, Blue Adhesive Backed Gems and Snowflake Splendor Ribbon. All of these products give you so many options for creating those Christmas cards!

For the card on the left, I used Night of Navy cardstock as the base measured at 5 1/2 x 8 1/2. The DSP (4 x 5 1/4) was die cut in the center using one of the larger snowflake dies. Before adhering the DSP to the base, I adhered a 3 1/2 x 3 1/2 piece of Balmy Blue Glitter Paper to the center of the card where the large snowflake image will go so that the glitter paper shines through the snowflake image. Next, adhere the DSP. I then die cut a couple of the smaller snowflakes in Whisper White cardstock and the Balmy Blue Glitter Paper and adhered them together and then to the DSP. The sentiment was stamped in Night of Navy using the Snowflake Wishes Stamp Set on a piece of 1 x 3 1/2 Whisper White cardstock and then adhered to the card. Lastly, I added a few of the Blue Adhesive Backed Gems to the centers of the snowflakes.

For the card on the right, I used a 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 piece of Whisper White cardstock as the base. To that I adhered a piece of 5 1/2 x 4 piece of Night of Navy cardstock. The next layer is the Balmy Blue Glitter Paper measuring at 5 1/2 x 3 1/2 and then a piece of DSP measuring at 5 1/2 x 3 1/4. The sentiment is stamped in Night of Navy on a piece of Whisper White cardstock that was die cut using the Tasteful Lables dies. I also die cut a snowflake in Balmy Blue Glitter Paper, attached that to the sentiment and some Snowflake Splendor Ribbon as well. For the ribbon, I tied a bow, and then cut the two bow loops making them all stick out straight. Lastly, I added a couple Elegant Faceted Gems to the top left and bottom right corners of the card.
