Christmas Peony

Happy Monday all you happy stampers! I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! It's hard to believe this is our last full month of summer! Which leads me to the card in today's blog. I've been thinking of all the different ways to use the assembled Peony die flower (check out my Die Cut Prized Peony post for more info on flower assembly). With this card, I was going for more of a Christmas look and chose vellum for the flower. I sponged the vellum peony with Real Red. I paired this flower with the Forever Fern bundle and Forever Greenery Designer Series Paper (DSP). I also chose the Gold Foil sheets to top off the Christmas look I was going for.

The ingredients used for this card were:
  • Forever Fern Bundle
  • Peony Dies
  • Real Red cardstock for the base - 5 1/2 x 8 1/2
  • Forever Greenery DSP - 5 1/4 x 4
  • Vellum cardstock for the die cut flower
  • Gold Foil Sheet - 4 x 2 1/2 and some for the die cut pieces (flower center and leaves behind flower)
  • Garden Green cardstock - 4 x 2
  • I also used a 5 1/4 x 4 1/4 piece of Whisper White cardstock for the inside of the card and for the green stamped die cut leaves
  • Pretty Peacock Stampin' Pad for the green die cut leaves behind the flower
  • Real Red Stampin' Pad for sponging the vellum peony
  • Forever Greenery Trim Combo Pack - I cut this into a couple of pieces that I placed behind the gold and green panel
  • I also used Old Olive Stampin' Pad for the stamped leaves inside the card but you could also use a gold, red or other shade of green for this.
  • Adhesive
  • Any die cut machine
